**Job Summary** AECOM is actively seeking an entry level Engineer for immediate employment in the Columbia, SC office\. The appropriately qualified applicant will assist with research, planning and design of gas transmission and distribution pipelines in the Mid\-Atlantic\-South region under the direction of a professional licensed engineer\.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Researches and analyzes data, such as customer design proposal, specifications and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
• Designs products or systems, such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines, and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems, applying knowledge of engineering principles
• May design products and systems to interface machines, hardware and software
• Use of CAD for design data processing and for developing alternative designs
• Has knowledge of applicable health and safety requirements and environmental concerns
• Develops familiarity with regulations governing the implementation and operations of these systems
• Verifies QA/QC of own work and work of project team that individual is responsible for
• May require visits to project sites
**Minimum Requirements** • Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline from ABET Accredited university
• Must have experience with AutoCAD and GIS
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ CAD for design data processing and for developing alternative design
+ Has knowledge of applicable health and safety requirements and environmental concerns
+ Familiarity with regulations governing the implementation and operations of pipeline systems
