**Job Summary** The Transportation Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Manager for immediate employment in the New York, NY office\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Project Management\.
Responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:
+ Manages the full life cycle of a project and ensures the project is completed successfully from beginning to end \(i\.e\. initiation, planning and designing, execution, monitoring and controlling, and completion of the project\) aligning with AECOM’s business strategy, goals, and vision
+ Manages projects on a local basis achieving quality outcomes, financial performance, and client satisfaction
+ Successfully develops strategy, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, and executes project
+ Maintains and builds a positive client relationship as well as being the primary point of contact with the client\. Identifies and commits appropriate company resources to accomplish project goals
+ Controls overall project cost and scope, schedule, and quality of work
+ Makes decisions concerning approved expenditures to meet project budget, preventing the need for write\-offs, and maximizing project margin
+ Ensures all standards and requirements are met in the area of health and safety by reviewing, communicating and managing project health and safety plans so that project personnel, client and subcontractors are aware of risks and hazards, and accidents are prevented
+ Mentors and develops staff, providing leadership and an environment which encourages teamwork, initiative and growth
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelors Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
+ Minimum 10 years of extensive drainage/soil erosion design experience
+ Ability to lead multi\-discipline moderate to complex highway, transportation and street reconstruction projects
+ Experience with NYC, NYS, and FHWA Design Guidelines and Practices for both rural and urban infrastructure projects
+ Proven record of managing multi\-disciple projects with respect of budget and schedule
+ Must have deep knowledge of NYCDOT, NYCDDC and NYSDOT's policies and procedures
+ Experience in grading and utilizes design
+ Strong organizational leadership skills, interpersonal, analytical, oral and written communication skills
+ Ability to work independently, and capable to lead design team through design process
+ Ability to provide solutions to problems, detail and deliver on goals
**Preferred Qualifications** PE License and PMP are preferred
