**About the Business Line** **Water**
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\.
**Job Summary**
Our Water Business Line is seeking an Office Lead to locally lead operational measures necessary to secure profitable delivery of projects in the office location
This person will be responsible for the performance and growth of the Office, playing a key role in contributing to the overall profitability of the Business Unit and end market\.
**Minimum Requirements** In your role as Office Lead you will:
+ Ensure compliance and best practice with all company procedures, particularly those associated with quality, risk, financial management, health and safety and core values\.
+ Promote and ensure compliance with regard to both worker & workplace and project health & safety and ensure that staff within the office are competent to carry out their duties safely\.
+ In conjunction with the BU lead, lead local initiatives which are directed towards maximising staff development, morale and performance\.
+ Under direction from the BU lead, maintain a programme of communication within the Office to ensure that all staff remain fully informed of corporate, end market and region initiatives\.
+ Encourage staff development and full participation in the Performance Management process\.
+ Ensure appropriate level of resources in place to deliver projects to plan, including identifying recruitment needs and taking part in interviews/decision making on hires\.
+ Drive operational performance in the Office including growth, project delivery, cash flow, resource utilisation, overhead expenditure and P&L\.
+ Be an active participant in the BU management team, and wider network of other Office Leads within the end market, with particular focus on sharing resources to maximise business development opportunities, resource projects and ensure stable utilisation at or above target\.
+ As delegated Project Management Supervisor, optimise project performance, including margin and quality\.
+ Support client development and growth opportunities, through winning business and effective use of client feedback\.
+ Be the primary point of contact for any regional end market initiatives\.
**Preferred Qualifications** Degree educated in relevant subject
Membership of appropriate institute \(MICE or MCIWEM\)\.
Person specification:
+ Demonstrable knowledge and experience of the Consultancy business\.
+ An understanding of commercial and contractual issues and experience of developing opportunities in line with the best interests of AECOM\.
+ Ability to think and act strategically and to recognise and encourage cross\-organisational synergy, both within and outside AECOM\.
+ A capability to develop and nurture business relationships, engaging in a constructive and positive manner; a willingness to be flexible, where appropriate, in order to find a “win\-win” position\.
+ Proven experience overseeing project delivery\.
+ Experience of managing staff who may have different technical backgrounds\.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills\.
+ Excellent negotiation skills, demonstrating a collaborative approach\.
+ Enthusiastic and tenacious, taking ownership of driving the right opportunities\.
+ Prepared to travel as needed across the district\.
