**About the Business Line** **Government**
AECOM’s Global Support Services \(GSS\) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs\. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere\. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world\. GSS supports the U\.S\. Government, non\-U\.S\. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support\.
**Job Summary**
+ Assist Branch Manager in overall vision, planning, direction and control for housekeeping to ensure clean, orderly and attractive condition of the client’s headquarters location\. The Services Deputy Branch Manager makes strategic decisions, executes and delivers on those decisions to improve processes and/or customer service\. Also provides motivation and guidance to branch management and custodial staff\. Establishes and maintains effective customer relationship with client\. Seeks opportunities to develop new business or expand existing business\.
+ Coordinates the activities of the branch to best utilize staff, materials and equipment\.
+ Tours and inspects the facility to ensure quality of service is met within custodial and special services operations, evaluates facility condition and recommends improvements\.
+ Oversees the work of subcontractor services\.
+ Responds to emergency situations in a timely and efficient manner\.
+ Resolves and follows\-up on all customer complaints/issues\.
+ Represents the organization by participating in meetings, committees and/or task teams with the client and industry associations\.
+ Leads the development, implementation and upkeep of all branch policies, plans and procedures to ensure contractual compliance\.
+ Ensure compliance with all company and client administrative and safety directives, policies and procedures\.
+ Manage personnel within the branch including hiring, disciplinary actions, training and evaluation of personnel performance\.
+ Assemble and submit accurate weekly, monthly, annual and all other requested reports by the required deliverable time\.
+ Manage QA/QC program for branch related tasks including the development and implementation of metrics to measure performance and actively work to improve processes at all levels\.
+ Ensure appropriate funding processes comply with established processes to ensure projects and work are properly funded and monitored\.
+ Coordinate with AECOM management and/or client personnel to execute work to the customer’s satisfaction\.
+ Maintain, update, and follow Services Branch Operational Plans\.
+ Ensure Government Furnished Equipment is properly accounted for\.
+ Develops business opportunities\.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Ability to plan, direct, motivates staff and executes work necessary for branch and contract success while adapting to a changing environment\.
+ Ability to work as a team player while working cohesively with all levels of client, management and staff to ensure contractual success\.
+ Able to work independently, analyze situations, make decisions, set and meet own deadlines without supervision\.
+ Understanding of corporate culture, policies and goals and how to implement them as a manager\.
+ Able to defuse conflicts among subordinate employees and peers\.
+ Understanding client base, identifying their needs, and how to interact with them\.
+ Knows when, how and to whom to delegate tasks to, and follow up\.
+ Communicate in clear and professional manner\.
+ Six years of custodial/housekeeping management experience\.
+ High School diploma or equivalent\.
+ Must be a U\.S\. Citizen, able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance\.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Accreditation/Certification in facilities O&M or housekeeping fields of study \(e\.g\., IFMA, LEED & LEED\-EB, APPA, CFM, etc\.\)\.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of recycling, green cleaning and other best practices within the custodial/housekeeping trade\.
+ Ability to communicate effectively \(verbal and written\) with a wide variety of audiences \(e\.g\., custodians, operators, engineers, management, customers, etc\.\)\.
+ Demonstrated ability to generate new business opportunities
+ Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office products, primarily the use of word processing, database applications, presentation and spreadsheet software\.
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Business or related field of study \(Preferred\)
