**About the Business Line** **Water**
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\.
**Job Summary** The Americas Design and Consulting Services Division of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Water Resources Engineering Associate for immediate employment in the Columbia, SC office\. The qualified applicant will be able to establish a career in Water Resources, specific to Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Design\. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects\. The candidate can look forward to the design of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants ranging from 1 MGD to in excess of 100 MGD treatment capacities\. Opportunities also include water distribution and wastewater collection infrastructure design\.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Design, model, and analysis of project elements
• Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles/sections within the Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD MEP
• Prepare contract documents suitable for bidding
• Work on small projects or portions of larger projects as a team with other disciplines
• Prepare design calculations and construction cost estimates
• Determine permitting requirements for projects and conduct code analysis reviews
• This position requires the flexibility to serve as a cross\-disciplinary resource to best serve the needs of AECOM
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelors in Civil or Environmental Engineering required
+ Have functional knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, and scheduling within the Microsoft Office software
+ Software skills to include AutoCAD Civil 3D or AutoCAD MEP
+ Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to work well in a team environment
+ Must have technical skills in fluid mechanics including open channel flow and pipeline hydraulics
+ EIT Certification
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is preferred
