Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma/GED is required. Equivalent training and three years of related experience is required. Experience driving various pick-up trucks. Forklift driving experience is required. Obtaining and maintaining the appropriate level of security clearance is required for the position.
Job Description: Summary of Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for transporting materials for the customer throughout HAFB using a pick-up truck. Inspects truck for defects before and after trips. Monitors vehicle during operation and reports maintenance/repair requirements. Drives vehicle both on and off of government installations and in light and heavy traffic conditions. Secures loads being transported to ensure safe and undamaged arrival at destination. Assists in loading and unloading of material transported. Must have a valid operator's license. Position will require communication with lead/supervisor on a daily basis. Drive "Tug" to deliver and/or pick up material throughout the warehouses. The current opening is to fill a full-time need on the day shift. The incumbent may be asked to work a swing, and/or rotating shift, which may include weekends and holidays.
Working Conditions:
The individual and supervisor assure that the degree of risk is reduced to the lowest level. Work may involve repetitive motions, and standing/walking and/or sitting for long periods of time. Work is of a physical nature and requires the incumbent be able to lift 50 lbs overhead and/or repetitively. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
