More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Environment** Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\. **Job Summary** AECOM is seeking a full time Senior Biologist/Scientist/Ecologist for immediate employment in the Miami office\. The candidate will be able to demonstrate strong wetland/botanical and wildlife field experience in Florida and would complement our talented staff, expand our capabilities, and work within our successful interdisciplinary wetland, wildlife, botanical and restoration teams\. We are seeking a dynamic individual, capable of conducting and leading field surveys and providing technical knowledge; someone who works well with junior staff and is comfortable leading small or large groups of staff; and someone that can deliver high quality technical documentation\. A successful candidate will utilize these skills to provide technical guidance, prepare technical reports, and interact with a variety of staff\-level biologists, senior project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies\. Our diverse array of clients includes local, state, and federal transportation agencies, local water districts and utilities, state and federal resource agencies, as well as other organizations\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: • Supervising \(organize, scope, budget, and conduct\) field and office activities; protocol\-level field surveys; technical report writing/reviewing \(editing\) as well as other technical tasks • Managing environmental\-related projects and assisting with business development \(marketing, presentations, proposals\)• Preparing high\-quality NEPA\-related documents and other technical reports for local and regional projects • Providing senior technical guidance while working on complex and challenging assignments • Processing data collection and analysis, with the use of Microsoft Office and Global Positioning Systems \(GPS\) equipment and software • Flexibility to serve as a cross\-disciplinary resource to best meet the needs of AECOM and its clients AECOM is a premier, fully integrated professional and technical services firm positioned to design, build, finance and operate infrastructure assets around the world for public\- and private\-sector clients\. More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **Minimum Requirements** **Minimum Bachelor’s degree in ecology, biology, botany or other closely related discipline\.** **Work experience should include substantial experience in Florida, with a focus on flora and fauna ecology\. Proficiency in ecosystem assessments, environmental permitting and NEPA studies \(Federal, State DOT, etc\.\)\. Experience organizing, leading and conducting ecological assessments, floristic surveys, and wildlife studies in Florida\.** **Working knowledge of environmental laws including NEPA, ESA Section 7, etc\. as they relate to biological resource impacts/conservation\.** **Proficiency with processing and interpreting data for evaluating biological impacts, identification of appropriate avoidance, minimization, and mitigation strategies\. Strong writing skills, including experience as a lead author or co\-author of a variety of reports, including but not limited to: wetland evaluation reports, environmental permit applications, botanical survey reports, wildlife assessment reports, environmental assessments, environmental impact reports and statements, biological assessments, mitigation plans, and/or monitoring reports\.** **Ability to work as part of a team work, possesses strong communication skills both verbally and in writing, and has the ability and desire to interact with clients and agency representatives\. Excellent verbal communication and writing skills and the desire to assist AECOM in the continued growth of the biology practice\.** **Working knowledge of environmental laws including NEPA, ESA Section 7, etc\. as they relate to biological resource impacts/conservation\.Proficiency with processing and interpreting data for evaluating biological impacts, identification of appropriate avoidance, minimization, and mitigation strategies\.
