**Job Summary**
Due to recent and anticipated growth in construction cost management workload and capacity within the region, AECOM is actively recruiting for an **M&E Quantity Surveyor** to support the current and forthcoming workload in the Birmingham office
The role will focus on:
Production of engineering services cost plans and estimates\.
Value engineering input during project design stages\.
Input to procurement of mechanical and electrical services packages\.
Post\-contract cost management including agreement of variations, interim valuations, cost reporting and final account agreement\.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Experienced in cost management\.
+ Possess an understanding of building engineering services design and options\.
+ Ability to communicate with designers regarding system costs and options\.
+ Experience in the following key sectors would be an advantage; Education, Laboratories, Industrial, Commercial, Health\.
+ A highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and ideally a member of a professional Institution or close to achieving professional status\.
**Preferred Qualifications**
Degree qualified in quantity surveying, or building services design\.
Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors \(MRICS\)
