Our global network of top\-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries\. **Job Summary** Our Transportation team currently have a vacancy in our Altrincham office for a **Technician** with experience of working on large infrastructure projects\. AECOM are currently expanding their Civil infrastructure engineering team in Altrincham following several major project wins and additional resources with proven skills in use of Microstation and 3\-D Microstation AECOsim and/or AutoCAD and Revit are required\. The successful candidate will be an experienced Modeller with experience on a variety of infrastructure projects\. You will have a proven level of experience of delivering projects to client’s satisfaction at the appropriate standard, ensuring accuracy of Models and Drawings and ensuring that the relevant codes and standards are complied with\. You will have strong development skills and the ability to develop and manage the work of others if and when required\. You will also have the technical ability, knowledge and competence to provide guidance and to teach others\. We are now looking to enhance and grow this team with individuals with a sound technical background and who share our enthusiasm and determination to support our expanding workload\. The team is involved in projects in the UK, Europe and the Middle East with a variety of clients\. Our services offered to our clients include feasibility studies, scheme designs and detailed designs\. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include Network Rail, Carillion, Morgan Sindall, BAM, Skanska, Chester Zoo, Wirral Council and Greater Manchester Councils\. Our current portfolio of works comprises a diverse mix of local and national rail and highway infrastructure projects\. A list of projects we are currently working on are: • Northern Hub • A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road \(A6MARR\) • CAFA Rail bridge inspection and assessment • Wirral Docks Bridges Feasibility Study • Chester Zoo Islands Development Job Responsibilities: The appropriate level of technical expertise is required in order that the Job/ Project Accountabilities listed below can be carried out to the necessary standards\. •To be able to generate CAD/BIM deliverables of a high standards\. •To be able to liaise with the design team, contractors etc\. •Review and comment on CAD/BIM generated deliverables\. •Keep design team informed of all CAD/BIM information necessary for the project duration\. •Provide support as required to the wider team\. **Minimum Requirements** + Relevant and recent hands\-on experience of using the industry standard CAD/BIM applications\. For example: Bentley \- MicroStation, Structural Modeller, AECOsim, Railtrack, Open Roads etc\. Autodesk \- AutoCAD, Revit, Civil3D etc\. + Strong skills and experience of using CAD in a civil design environment\. + Experience on civil engineering schemes working on Bridges, Rail and Highways infrastructure\. + Some experience with steelwork and Reinforced Concrete detailing\. **Preferred Qualifications** + ONC or HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications with industry standard CAD/BIM enabled applications\.
