**Job Summary**
Looking for an Image Capture Specialist to assist in the conversion of records from paper to electronic media in support of a contract for the Office of the Secretary of Defense \(OSD\)\. This position is responsible for carrying out a variety of image capture functions, including those related to the receipt, document preparation, scanning, indexing, and re\-packaging of information ranging from unclassified to Top Secret\. The candidate will interface with personal computer \(PC\) applications as well as numerous scanning and indexing applications\. He/she must maintain the integrity of the hard copy document as well as digitize them so that they are complete, legible, in order, and otherwise reflective of the hard copy document being scanned\. Tasks include the following:
+ Document preparation \- Removing staples, binders, repairing tears and otherwise sorting and filing box records so that they are scanned in order
+ Scanning hardcopy files to electronic images into TIF and then PDF images, ensuring that the images are OCR'd to be searchable
+ Assuring the scanned image is complete, clear, and searchable
+ Following established procedures and completing internal documentation, reporting, and tracking of progress
+ Following all safety, security, and internal guidelines to maintain a clean and secure work environment
+ Other duties, as specified by the Task Lead
**Minimum Requirements**
The following minimum requirements apply:
+ Ability to routinely lift and handle boxes of records up to 50 pounds
+ Familiarity with PC, Adobe, and Microsoft Office software \(Excel, Access, Word\)
+ Ability to work independently or as part of a team, and to meet internally set production standards
+ Ability to maintain the integrity of the records, removing them from boxes, scanning them and re\-foldering/re\-filing them back into the box in the same order and sequence
+ Ability to conduct QC of their work product to ensure images are intact, complete, meet clarity standards and are searchable
+ Must have a current active Top Secret Security Clearance
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred\.
+ Preferred candidates musthave a current active Top Secret Security Clearance\.
