Our global network of top\-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries\. **Job Summary** The individual in this role will provide support to the Structural Manager/Project Manager assisting with the efficient design and production of construction documents\. Position provides exposure to all aspects and phases of the firm's structural bridge engineering practice including communicating with internal and external clients\. The projects primarily involve government clients and other transportation authorities\. Candidates must have leadership skills and shall be capable of functioning in a support role to the lead Engineer/Project Manager, possessing the following skills: + Define design and construction document requirements, and complete assignements on schedule + Knowledge of computer design software, CADD software, bridge design principles, and FDOT requirements + Plan and organize work of junior engineers and technicians + Quality control coordination Position will interact with internal engineering disciplines, clients such as FDOT\. Must be able to work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other teams where overlap of client project work exists\. Position requires good knowledge of FDOT Design guidelines, and AASHTO Code\. **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering + Minimum 10 years experience in design and developing construction drawings of highway bridges and related transportation structures + Must have project team skills and experience working with production team developing contract drawings + Requires effective written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills + Successful candidate will be articulate with a professional presence + Must have sold decision making, planning and organizational skills + This position will be accountable for the efficient production of competent contract drawings + This position requires applicant to possess thorough understanding and knowledge of structural engineering principles, computer modeling, and development of engineering design sketches and details + Experience with FDOT requirements in the development of contract drawings + Proficient in computer modeling and analysis, AASHTO Code, and FDOT guideline and requirements + Must possess Florida Board of Professional Engineering Registration & PE license **Preferred Qualifications** + Master's degree in Civil Engineering **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
