• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and/or related experience
• Entrants to this position require extensive experience in the Engineering or Construction Industry with 8 years in estimating.
• Typically possess 5+ years of experience on a project performing work outside the estimating function that can be equated into knowledge required to be a strong Estimator.
• Demonstrated estimating experience in the Civil/ Structural/Architectural Discipline.
• Has a strong understanding of planning and scheduling and the company cost structure (overheads, G&A, insurances).
• Demonstrated superior technical ability in the areas of specialty and possession of expert knowledge in those areas.
Preferred Requirements:
• Master’s degree in business, engineering, or construction management desirable.

Position Description or Typical Responsibilities:
•Develops and applies CC&M specific expertise, lessons learned, technical, commercial and historical data (including construction means & methods, production rates, execution strategies, industry and competitor trends.
•Involvement/participation in relevant industry and professional associations.
•Manage large project / program estimates including multiple concurrent estimating assignments.

• Reviews and approves bid tabulations responding to the customer/Request for Proposal requirements.
• Collects, analyzes and archives project data. Develops historical documentation.
• Reconciles current project estimate comparisons with previous performance and market benchmark data.
• Negotiates internal issues, priorities, and deadlines.
• Prepares and negotiates change orders.
• Performs contingency and risk analysis.
• Delivers estimate presentations to the Executive Review Committee.
