**Job Summary** AECOM seeks a Senior Architect to lead a production team and establish a rich design culture, demonstrating a rigorous process of design excellence and creating a creative studio environment\. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all architectural aspects and coordinating all design aspects of mid\-size to large projects\.
The ideal candidate will have the capacity to engage colleagues and engineers and lead junior design staff by modeling a work ethic that supports technical excellence and a multi\-disciplinary design approach\.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Staff projects with a heavy emphasis on technical quality
+ Develop and conduct training sessions/courses on new concepts, approaches and/or materials to enhance the capabilities of the unit within a specialty
+ Communicate company information, directives, policies and procedures to department staff\.
+ Work interactively with Project Designers and Managers as well as Senior Management to participate in all aspects of design, quality assurance and budgets\.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ BA degree in Architecture
+ Minimum of 10 years experience in a team based practice, with high quality experience in any or all phases of projects\.
+ Registered Architect \(RA\) licensure necessary\.
+ Strong technical skills accompanied by a technical knowledge required to support creative, innovative and grounded design thinking and exploration\.
+ Candidates must be high energy, be team oriented, and self\-motivated\.
+ Proven track record and the ability to run multiple projects
+ Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills
+ Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience running small to medium sized projects
+ Experience with historic structures
+ Experience working in, or managing any combination of the following areas considered highly desirable: BIM design and production efforts, design\-build project delivery, high rise buildings\.
+ Strong verbal and graphic communication skills
+ Working knowledge of graphic software including: Revit, Adobe Graphics Suite, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator\.
+ LEED accreditation or willingness to achieve within six months of hire\.
