We pride ourselves on ensuring we deliver the best customer service possible to our people while building trust and relationships with all of our constituents\. **Job Summary** We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Management Accountant \(BMA\) to join our well\-established and experienced Finance team in our centrally located Birmingham, St Albans, Basingstoke or London offices – other locations will be considered but you would be expected to travel to these locations for regular business meetings\. As an Business Management Accountant you will be responsible for providing support to the Finance Director and Business Finance Managers that sit below each End Market, in the preparation of complete, timely and accurate financial accounting & reports in compliance with relevant GAAP \(US/UK/IFRS\), regulatory practices and company policies and procedures\. Your daily tasks will include the following: •  Participation in the following areas: support to developing cash flow forecasting & costing models for bids, project reviews including data quality review, project analysis and reporting, client profitability analysis, month\-end close, district performance analysis, and project revenue recognition\. •  Support project managers and project accountants in the preparation of Estimates at Completion\. •  Assist in financial and management reporting structured around programs such as Insight, working in conjunction with the FP&A group\. •  Support the business finance managers in developing accurate monthly and quarterly income statement and cash forecasts and annual budgets\. •  Analyse and trend variances in the financial results, including comparing income statement, working capital and sales pipeline performance with operating plans, forecasts and standards\. Interpret and communicate results to business finance managers and project managers\. •  Interact and effectively works towards common goals with other parts of Finance & the wider Business including Controllership, Shared Service Centre, FP&A, Project Controls and Procurement\. •  Identify and maintain the necessary business controls in order to ensure integrity of financial information and safeguarding of assets\. Ensure compliance with prescribed internal controls per AECOM Sarbanes Oxley documentation\. •  Support the closing process for all income statements within their area of responsibility \(expenditure reviews, revenue recognition, journal entries, monitoring variances to forecast and working with Operations on risks and opportunities\)\. •  Participate in ensuring loss contracts are correctly identified, and that financial impacts are quantified and booked\. •  Support the review of terms and conditions in proposals/contracts to ensure that the company’s interest is maintained including project profitability and billing and collection profiles\. •  Perform special projects as requested by management\. **Minimum Requirements** •  Prior working experience within a Management Accountant role or equivalent\. •  You will be proactive and have strong analytical & problem solving skills\. •  You will need to be able to work in a fast paced environment, along with the ability to manage multiple deadlines on time and be able to see the bigger picture\. •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills\. •  You will have the ability to be resourceful, hands on and work both independently and as part of high\-performing team\. •  Flexibility to work outside normal working hours to meet deadlines will be occasionally required at busy periods\. **Preferred Qualifications** •  Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject such as Finance or Accountancy\. •  Part Qualified Chartered Accountancy Qualification \(ACA, ACMA, ACCA or similar\)\. **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
