Minimum Requirements: • BS in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering field
• 7 years of engineering experience including design of pipe systems, channels, and stormwater design
• Understanding of surface water quality, stormwater quality, and stormwater management in construction and post-construction settings, hydrology, fluvial processes, and applicable rules and regulations
• Ability to organize and manage staff on complex projects and coordinate with public agencies
• Thorough knowledge of engineering and construction principles, practices and procedures, applicable laws and government regulations, principles of management and supervision and procedures and policies of departments and facility
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience in erosion and sedimentation control design
• Experience in developing project plans and specifications
• Ability to write well, distill supporting information in the scientific literature, communicate technical issues to a wide range of readers. Prepare draft documents under direction, including reports, memoranda, and posters
• Good organizational, leadership, communications, influencing, and negotiation skills
• Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills
• Experience in detention basin modeling and a working knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software, such as CADD, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, Microstation)
• Developing stormwater management retrofit design plans (site and structural)
• Conducting watershed level inventories and assessments
• Low Impact Development (LID) and Environmental Site Design (ESD) assessment and design, including within right-of-ways
• Creating site specific conceptual design through construction documents
• Applying ecological principles to the resolution of challenges posed by the built environment
• Preparing specifications and cost estimates
• Construction bid support
• Construction inspection
• Fundamentals in Engineering certification, with the ability to become a professional engineer in the state of North Carolina within 6 months of hire date.

Job Description: AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented H&H/Stormwater Engineer for immediate employment in the Morrisville (Raleigh) office.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Establish and maintain client relationship at appropriate level and manage the expectations regarding scope, cost and schedule, capture scope changes and effectively communicate the expectations to client and related parties in a timely manner
• Participate in developing services for planning, design, engineering, procurement and contracting, permitting and construction services
• Coordinate project management processes and make timely recommendation on plan and schedule
• Develop and present training courses regarding construction and post-construction stormwater issues
• Participate in developing practices for public agencies to maintain compliance with stormwater regulations
• Supervise/coordinate with junior level staff and develop/expand client relationships and lead business development efforts
• Coordinate design with other engineering work
• Perform calculations, run models, and make engineering assumptions
• Accompany senior or experienced engineer, where appropriate
• Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements, explain work, etc.
• Assign tasks to technical or administrative staff
• Manage multiple large projects for public and private clients
