We deliver creative solutions for building projects for industry, government, commercial and leisure sectors\. Our building engineering specialists have expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering, acoustics, facades and seismic design\. **Job Summary**
Our Exeter office is currently seeking a full time Senior Structural Engineer to fill a position which has become available\. For candidates with the right level of experience we might consider a Principal Engineer position\.
About the role:
Working alongside a Project Director and experienced Graduate Engineer and supported by a multi\-disciplinary team you will take on responsibility for all aspects of structural design from inception to completion\. You will play a leading part in strengthening our analytical capabilities in 3\-D/finite element analysis on projects with major UK contractors, public sector clients, developers and blue chip companies\.

Job Responsibilities:
•Assisting project engineers in producing designs at all stages, liaising with CAD technicians, junior engineers and staff working in other AECOM disciplines and in other offices\.
•Representing AECOM at team meetings with clients, architects and contractors\.
•Providing assistance on management processes including project management, design reviews \(including health & safety\), fee proposals and resource allocation\.
**Minimum Requirements**
•Structural design experience with a consultancy in health/education/leisure/commercial/industrial sectors\.
•Experience of 3\-D analysis software including FEA \(knowledge and use of SCIA Engineer is desirable\)\.
•Conversant with Eurocode design of steel/concrete/timber/masonry\.
•A motivated individual with good communication skills\.
•Working towards chartered status or recently chartered\.
**Preferred Qualifications**
•Degree in Structural or Civil/Structural Engineering accredited by Institution of Civil Engineers or the Institution of Structural Engineers
