Job Description: The Environment Division of AECOM is actively seeking a Data Entry/Helpdesk Technician for immediate employment in the Arlington, VA office. This Data Management Analyst position supports our DoD client’s mission to track hazardous material at military installations around the world. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate a history of data management and customer support. This position requires extensive data research and entry, analysis of data accuracy and consistency, and professional customer support for military and civilian software users.
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
• Provide support to Department of Defense and other federal clients' hazardous materials programs
• Provide administration and operational support for IT systems (e.g., user accounts, password resets, data entry)
• Process support requests submitted through email, phone, or fax
• Research and retrieve hazardous material safety data sheets from product manufacturers
• Enter critical data elements into a database while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity
• Provide advice and demonstrate use of software and hardware to end-users
• Use and support database applications and analytical tools
• Evaluate data quality, applications, and functions
• Research new data sources and analytical tools
• Develop awareness of and familiarity with issues and events affecting organization, department, and/or customer
• Use timely and appropriate participation of users/customers in data collection and query systems
• Provide accurate and appropriate interpretation of data
• Develop appropriate methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data products, and delivers data in report/presentation format
