**Job Summary**
**THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROGRAM**
DUTIES:Work under licensed engineer to perform engineering duties including planning, design and operations of traveler information systems; review and analyze data, prepare monthly reports, perform scheduling duties; work on software application \(511 Watcher\) for operations and reporting; work with traffic engineering principles and management/training techniques; tasked with other traffic engineering studies assignments; ensure the Florida Advanced Traveler Information System \(FLATIS\) is providing current/relevant information to the public; support operations with engineering studies; and assist with project software development activities including beta testing, operational testing, development of test plans and software documentation\.
**Minimum Requirements**
REQUIREMENTS:Employer will accept Master’s degree in Engineering or related field; and one year of work experience in job offered or one year of work experience in an Engineering\-related occupation\.Experience must include: designing, developing, testing & quality assurance; data analysis;knowledge of traffic engineering principles related to operations, proficient in Microsoft Applications, and knowledge of transportation management operations; direct experience with express/managed lanes operations, ramp signaling/metering operations, Florida Advanced Traveler Information System \(FLATIS\), and other ITS applications; experience with the operation and configuration of SunGuide \(Florida’s Intelligent Transportation System\) software and the Operations Task Manager \(OTM\) software\. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable\.
