We provide services such as program management, construction management and owner’s representation to our clients around the globe\. **Job Summary** The AECOM Denver Metro Area \- Colorado Springs Office is seeking a talented Construction Inspector for immediate employment to be located on site at our client location at Cheyenne Mountain, AFS CO\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Working closely with client, Project Manager and engineers\. + Acts as a high level expert in field inspection\. + Is consulted with for complex field inspection issues\. + Works on complex construction inspection projects\. + Construction inspectors will assist contractor with Visitor Access Requests \(VARs\) and/or Entry Approval Letters \(EALs\)\. + Submittal Services: Provide A/E response to priority disciplines Structural, Mechanical, + Plumbing, Electrical, Lighting, Fire Alarm/Suppression, RFIs and Shop Drawings\. + Testing and Inspection Administration: Review of reports on inspections and tests and notifications to 721 CES, tenant program manager and Contractor of observed deficiencies in the work\. + Supplemental Documentation Services: Coordination with the Contractor regarding preparation and distribution of supplemental drawings, specifications, and interpretations in response to requests or request for information \(RFI\) by Contractor or the Owner\. + Change Orders \(Modifications\): Assist in the preparation of necessary drawings due to differing + Site conditions for the appropriate Modifications of the Contract for Construction\. + Provide Interpretations and Recommendations to the User: Review of claims, disputes or other matters between the Owner and the Contractor relating to the execution or progress of the work as provided in the Contract Documents\. + Project Inspection Services: Provide all necessary services and functions to ensure compliance with plans and specifications to include evaluating, monitoring and documenting project activity and progress/deficiencies\. Attend and conduct project meetings and invite all appropriate stakeholders such as the user, security, fire protection, safety, environmental, communications, shops and other personnel as needed\. Inspect projects on behalf of 721 CES/CENM, visit project sites daily, and complete AF Form 1477 Daily Inspection Log\. Coordinate and participate in training sessions, pre\-final and final acceptance inspections, and coordinate with CE Operations Flight for systems start\-up and commissioning activities\. + Other Services: Schedule project outages, construction phasing, permits and traffic plans\. + Prepare cost estimates for contract modifications; initiate, evaluate and prepare modification packages\. + Project Closeout Services: Review Construction Contractor’s “As\-Built” documents for compliance with the contract requirements and transfer final documents to CENM\. Perform commissioning inspection of all utility work and related utility work throughout the project area, with a report of discrepancies requiring action\. Prepare and submit Draft or Interim DD Form 1354 as appropriate to document project status; manage Partial BODs to allow the government to take partial possession of a project when it is in the best interest of the government\. **Minimum Requirements** + High school diploma or equivalent + Minimum 10 years experience in related construction inspector role + Qualified candidates will be experienced in high and low voltage electrical systems, mechanical and structural systems + Ability to fully understand and research plans, specifications and standards associated with the work + Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience working on complex construction projects for military installation + Active DoD Secret Clearance **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
