AECOM Government Services supports the U\.S\. federal government with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support\.
**Job Summary**
We are currently seeking candidates to fill a FOIA Analyst position located in Chantilly, VA\. The incumbent will assist in implementing records and Freedom of Information Act \(FOIA\) processing based on federal and agency mandates\. The candidate shall demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: making determinations on procedural issues such as applicability of FOIA fees and releases, category determinations, requests for fee waivers, and granting of expedited processing requests\.
Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Knowledge of DoD issuances on FOIA, Privacy Act, and Records Management and related DoD regulations
+ Coordinate Freedom of Information Act \(FOIA\) and Privacy Act \(PA\) requests
+ Provide advice and guidance to management, staff, and the public regarding disclosure of agency records under the FOIA and PA
+ Experience with FOIAXpress tracking, official taskings, and compilation of final packages
+ Research and analyze legal issues involved in processing cases, responding to legal questions, or dealing with legislative issues
+ FOIA query/search of databases, FOIA data reporting, and data validation / annotation of data exceptions
+ Analysis of cost of the organization’s service delivery, and provider reimbursement
+ Provide monthly status reports to the Program Manager/Project Manager
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, having a demonstrated working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite applications \(Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint\)\.
+ Fmiliarity of DoD laws and regulations, and prior experience processing DoD FOIA requests\.
+ Additionally, a current DoD Secret security clearance is required and all successful candidates must meet the federal requirements to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance\.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience processing FOIA requests of a medical nature and the review/release of healthcare related contracts\.
