Job Description: AECOM is seeking an Plant Helper I to be based at our Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) in Carlsbad, NM. Position Description: Assist in a wide variety of tasks requiring moderate knowledge of maintenance, including planning, layout, installation, troubleshooting and repair of facility equipment and systems. Follow all safety procedures, regulations, and policies. Conduct frequent inspections of work area to ensure that safe working conditions are maintained. Promptly report any hazards for unsafe conditions to management. Perform a variety of mechanical/electrical tasks (plumbing, facility equipment, etc.). Transport, package, mark, label, and place hazardous and non-hazardous materials into designated storage areas. Perform duties related to the operation and maintenance of both surface and underground tool cribs. Perform similar and related duties as assigned.
