**Job Summary** We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Analyst \- Software Development to join our well\-established and experienced Business Systems Team in our centrally located Basingstoke or St Albans offices\.
As a Quality Analyst you will be part of AECOM’s EMEAI Business Systems Team and will have a key role in ensuring quality assurance on a diverse portfolio of bespoke applications, primarily within the EMEAI region and globally via AECOM’s Centers of Excellence\. You will be involved in the development and execution of test scenarios for web based software including testing of new functionality, regression testing against previously defined scenarios and user acceptance testing\.
You will also create testing and performance summary reports as well as assisting developers in resolution of system issues\. You will participate in development testing methodologies and tools to promote world\-class best practices\.

We are looking for someone with experience with software productivity tools and knowledge in software testing methodologies and systems development lifecycle\.
As a Quality Analyst you will have the following responsibilities:
• Design, execute and maintain test plans, scenarios and scripts for testing of software products\.
• Undertake technical Web and Windows Application Testing, driving quality practices into work products throughout the lifecycle of a project\.
• Planning and executing manual and automated testing on complex Web and Windows Applications at the Data, Web Service and GUI layer\.
• Display creativity in approach using relevant techniques and tools for Web and Windows Application testing\.
• Understand the functional scope of priorities identified by the business team and follow standard processes set by the team to conduct testing\.
• Create testing and performance summary reports to clearly communicating the results\.
• Help prioritize defects to be fixed using an understanding of the business requirements and needs of the customer\.
• Ensure adherence to the Global Quality Assurance practices in place in the organization\.
• Participate in pair testing with developers and business users and encouraging Behaviour / Test Driven Development techniques \(BDD/TDD\)\.
• Maintain and enhance any test automation suites used by the team\.
• Assisting the development and helpdesk teams in resolving reported problems, recreating reported issues and maintaining standard documentation\.
• Demonstrate good teamwork and proactively suggest solutions to ongoing issues to resolve them in good time\.
• Contribution to the designs of production software focusing on testability, robustness, and performance\.
• Occasional ad hoc responsibilities that may be required will include the following:
• Provision 2nd line support for bespoke AECOM applications and some third\-party products including Investigating failures, performing root cause analysis and liaison with clients and suppliers to ensure resolution of incidents\.
• Assist in environment maintenance and migration activities\.
• Assistance in specification and implementation of bug fixes and small enhancements on key applications, working with developers where necessary to implement those\.
• Working with AECOM’s global teams to develop QA processes and procedures for global bespoke applications\.
• Assistance in logging and overseeing change requests\.
• Data analysis and data reporting\.
• Assistance in business analysis\.
• Assist maintaining project and schedule documents and inform of any risks to the implementation schedule and actions taken to mitigate these risks\.
**Minimum Requirements** • Demonstrable experience of commercial testing experience of web based applications or similar\.
• ISTQB\\ISEB Certified Tester Foundation Level\.
• Good working knowledge of Automation tools i\.e\. Selenium, Visual Studio, QTP \(for APIs, Database, Application functions, and UX\)\.
• Hands on experience on Defect tracking tool like JIRA and good understanding of defect life cycle
• Hands on experience on Test management tool i\.e\. Mercury’s Quality Centre, Visual Studio Online\.
• Good working knowledge of software quality assurance and its processes\.
• Experience of evaluation and implementation of new testing, techniques and tools\.
• Knowledge of different formal testing methodologies & techniques\.
• Ability to develop test plans for functional testing and conduct integration testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing\.
• Experience of Agile/SCRUM processes methodologies\.
• You will be an excellent communicator across a range of levels and with different mediums, a good team player and be able to demonstrate enthusiasm and an appetite for learning and developing\.
• Able to demonstrate good understanding of business processes and good problem\-solving skills\.
• It would be desirable to have any of the following:
• Experience of designing of production software focusing on testability, robustness, and performance\.
• Working knowledge in Visual Studio Online\.
• Working knowledge of Performance testing tool i\.e\. JMeter\. Should be able to create the automation script for the performance test requirements, test execution and report analysis\.
• Suggest improvements based on the performance test evaluation\.
• Working experience on automated web service testing tool SOAP UI\.
• Knowledge of DB querying using SQL Server Management Studio, TOAD\.
