• Ten years of coal-fired steam cogeneration power plant operations or equivalent experience
• Minimum four years of relevant direct management experience
• Must have strong written and oral communication skills
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to multi-task efficiently
• Must be able to be available, by phone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must also pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
• Must possess and maintain current certification from Defense Energy Support Center for coal-handling
• Must be Journeyman certified
• Must be able to acquire and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
Job Description: AECOM is currently supporting the USAF in ongoing efforts at a coal-fired power plant in Clear, Alaska. This is an AFCAP task order to provide staffing and OM&R services at this remote base approximately 70 miles from Fairbanks.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• In charge of day-to-day operations, serving as the Company’s immediate representative in the field, thus having full authority to act for the company on all contract matters relating to daily operation of this task order
• Lead an incumbent subcontract team of plant operators and technicians to satisfy the levels of services required in the task order Performance Work Statement
• Responsible to the Task Order Manager for the satisfactory completion of specified performance objectives related to managing the plant equipment and staff, as well reporting to the TOM with all plans, issues, and operational concerns
• Must be available for contact by telephone 24 hours a day, seven days a week (including holidays), with no failures to be available allowed
