Minimum Requirements: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field and minimum 10 years of experience in areas of Networking / Data Storage / Architecture and Virtualization.
•Requires current certified CISSP (IATL-3);
•Must be U.S. Citizen and possess active TS clearance with current or recent SCI.
•Requires excellent time-management skills and ability to follow directions.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
NetApp and VMware certifications strongly preferred
Additional certifications in Citrix, Microsoft, Cisco and HP would be helpful, but not required.
Candidates should possess excellent communications and documentation skills, as well as advanced knowledge and analytical skills in areas of:
•Storage Systems - SAN, fiber channel, FCoE, iSCSI, block, CIFS and NFS storage platforms, NetApp FAS/V-series (3100 to current) 7-mode/cluster-mode and related NetApp technologies (SnapMirror, SnapVault, SnapRestore, FlexClone, etc…); HP 3PAR; Fusion I/O; Brocade; Qlogic HBA; Quantum DXi and iSeries tape libraries; Veeam Backup & Recovery.
•Computer Hardware - HP ProLiant rack-mount and blade servers; HP iLo; HP VirtualConnect; Cisco UCS; Dell Optiplex/Precision rack-mount and desktop workstations; Dell/Wyse thin clients; HP ArcSight.
•Secure Networking -10/40/100 Gb networking; fiber infrastructure (singlemode/multimode; LC/SC); Cisco Nexus 3K/5K/7K (layer 2/3; storage protocols); HP ProCurve; F5 BigIP; Riverbed Steelhead WANX; Riverbed Cascade; TCP/IP; DNS/rDNS/DHCP.

Job Description: AECOM has an immediate career opportunity at Ft. Bragg, NC for a Sr. Storage & Virtualization Engineer to implement and transition storage architecture and virtualization design to support Army I.T. enterprise goals.
This support is to ensure that the storage solution properly integrates with server infrastructure, Network architecture, virtualization architecture (VMware) and integrates with client-side access (meets client access and performance goals). The Sr Storage Engineer will provide technical services and innovative insight for future Army concepts, as well as oral/written technical expertise communications; support documentation and accreditation of solutions and mitigation of security findings.
Essential Responsibilities:
Reports to USARPAC INOC/GISA-W and provide USARPAC GISA-W with IT assessment, design, and integration assistance in accordance with core services concept and intent.
• Work alongside INSCOM GISA-C to design, engineer; implement, transition and support storage architecture and virtualization design to meet USARPAC INOC/GISA-W and GISA Enterprise goals; all targeted infrastructure servers for analysis are located at Ft. Bragg (NC).
• Participate in INSCOM GISA-C briefings and meetings to discuss on-going and future projects and initiatives to ensure USARPAC INOC/GISA-W concerns and GISA Enterprise concerns are addressed while meeting INSCOM GISA-C site requirements.
• Work with external support (e.g. NetApp, Riverbed, VMware, Cisco, HP) in pursuit of USARPAC/GISA-W storage architecture goals.
• Ensure storage solution properly integrates with Network and server infrastructure; virtualization architecture (VMware); client-side access (meets client access and performance goals).
• Research/review storage OS versions and related security settings. Support least-privilege access model.
• Diagram and brief storage solution design (and alternatives).
• Prepare formal documentation and description of approved storage architecture.
• Participate and support solution accreditation (identification, mitigation and documentation as it pertains to ATO requirements).
• Assist with storage-related installation, maintenance and support procedures.
• Assist with training of the INSCOM GISA-C staff to become familiar with storage solution operation and sustainment.
• May perform network engineering support in classified and unclassified communications areas.
• Conduct applicable research and supports acquisition of hardware and software.
• Serve as in-house and industry recognized expert.
