Familiarity with applying software quality engineering principles for the management, design, and testing of software is required. Technical writing skills are required. Certification as a Software Quality Engineer is desired, but not required. US Citizenship Relocation benefits are available for this position. Job Description: URS is seeking a Software Applications Lead to be located at our Richland, Wa location. The Software Applications Lead is responsible for managing software projects and direct staff who develop and maintain software applications and system interfaces. Software development and maintenance is through the application of software quality principles. The Software Applications Lead interfaces with senior management, consultants, vendors, developers, and users to prioritize new software/system projects and upgrades. The Software Applications Lead supports the computing needs of the Plant Operations organization. Specific duties include: •Assigns and directs software staff on software development and software upgrade projects. •Develops project software standards and conventions for the design and implementation of new or existing software application programs and reports. •Provides application support for Oracle and SQL Server database activities including database design, data migration, SQL script writing, and performance improvements. •Provides troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to system interfaces. •Ensures commercial and developed software upgrades are in accordance with software quality procedures. •Resolves business or engineering problems through the design and implementation of software applications on automated systems. •Reviews and approves software project plans, requirements, design, and test plans and reports. •Other duties as assigned URS and AECOM have joined together as one company.
