Our global network of top\-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries\. **Job Summary** AECOM is currently recruiting for a Maritime Consultant to join our well\-established and experienced Maritime team in our centrally located London \- Victoria and Basingstoke offices\. As a Maritime Consultant you will have commercial and/or operational management experience either within the ports or shipping sector, or in a consultancy environment where you will have focused on ports / freight / logistics advisory work\. You will have experience of working as part of project teams, undertaking business focused data analysis \(financial, economic, market\) and in the development and delivery of projects\. The role would suit a self\-motivated individual looking to advance their career in a dynamic team\. As Maritime Consultant, your responsibilities will include: + Undertaking research, ata collection and analysis to support port planning / appraisal projects\. + Developing traffic and financial appraisal models\. + Assisting with and leading on project Management; + Assisting with business development and preparation of tenders; + Occasional short to medium term site visits \(UK and Overseas\) may also become necessary depending on project requirements As the successful candidate, the following will be required for this role: + Educated to degree level, or equivalent, in relevant discipline \(Transport / Logistics, Geography, Economics, Finance, Engineering\); + Experience in either relevant industry sector or consultancy / advisory environment; + Good working knowledge of any of the following is highly beneficial: container terminals, bulk terminals, energy sector / marine renewables, inland freight / logistics; + Strong IT skills, data analysis and report writing skills and the ability to communicate to a range of clients is required for this role\. Our global team of some 450\+ maritime specialists have the technical skills and experience to address any form of maritime project\. We support a wide range of maritime developments including container terminals, waterfront developments, cruise and ferry terminals, marinas and fishing harbours and military ports\. The Basingstoke and London offices have an established track record of successfully delivering maritime services to port owners/operators, contractors and transportation agencies\. Our maritime experience includes port planning, port economics and due diligence, engineering and design, construction supervision, transactions and financial advisory services for clients in Europe, the Middle East and Africa\. Our team of maritime specialists provide a fully integrated service and have the technical skills and experience to address a wide range of maritime developments\. Recent projects for the Maritime team have included the London Gateway, major pit to port studies in Ivory Coast and Liberia, an offshore fabrication yard at Porto Amboim that includes Africa’s largest crane, PSA Rodman Phase 2 Container Terminal in Panama, Jebel Ali Terminal 4, and technical support on a variety of projects including a tidal lagoon, a caisson breakwater in Mexico and moorings in Hong Kong\. In the past year ports strategic and transaction advisory projects have included projects in Belgium, Italy, Tanzania, Turkey and the UK\. Key clients include major terminal operators, investors and public sector bodies\.
