Minimum Requirements: Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma/equivalent and 6 years experience in an operating demilitarization, chemical, power, processing, industrial service, or manufacturing plant in one or more of the following crafts: pipe fitter, boilermaker, welder, millwright, machinist, plant mechanic, insulation installer, coatings installer, or HVAC mechanic
Or
• Completion of formal apprenticeship, similar accredited training program (such as vocational, trade, commercial, or military) in the mechanical field or journeyman certification and 4 years related industrial maintenance experience in an operating demilitarization, chemical, power, processing, industrial service, or manufacturing plant in one or more of the following crafts: pipe fitter, boilermaker, welder, millwright, machinist, plant mechanic, insulation installer, coatings installer, or HVAC mechanic
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be a US or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain PCAPP site access
• Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment
• Have thorough understanding of mechanical equipment operation, mechanical equipment maintenance requirements and restrictions imposed by safety and environmental regulations.
• Must be detail oriented and able to exercise good judment in solving mechanical and equipment problems.
• Able to perform precision work such as equipment alignment, reverse runout alignment, close tolerance fitting, along with experience working with pumps and valves.
• Able to develop technical solutions to address maintenance related problems while minimizing cost and impact on schedule.
• Welders must maintain annual recertification.

• Experience in a toxic or hazardous work environment.

Job Description: MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / TASKS
• Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.
• Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
• May be required to work overtime or varying hours.
• Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record.
• Work in close proximity to and or in a chemical demilitarization facility.
• Perform a variety of journeyman mechanical, welder/pipefitter, painter/carpenter trade functions in the installation/removal or corrective/preventative maintenance, repair or modification of facility systems, equipment and components (such as conveyors, compressors, cranes, piping, pumps, and valves).
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts and specifications in the performance of these duties to ensure system integrity is maintained.
• Perform emergency repairs to systems, equipment, and components. Record the as-found condition as well as the repaired condition, investigating operational reports of equipment failure and analyze system characteristics to determine cause of failure and necessary corrective action.
• Demonstrate and conduct required inspection and testing of equipment and components as necessary to complete work packages and ensure systems are returned to operational conditions.
• Follow predetermined checklist in the performance of preventative maintenance of facility equipment and systems.
• Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and measurement and test equipment in the performance of duties.
• Set up and demonstrate pressure test as necessary to complete work packages and return systems to operational conditions.
• Assure code and building standards are met.
